An expressive mid-century abstract landscape painting by Swedish artist Gösta Ståwasen (1918-1974). Ståwasen's work is represented in the collection of the Kalmar Art Museum. 
This lively abstract is characterised by thick, slightly impasto brushwork in a wonderful colour palette of muted green and plum tones against the blue of the sky.
